Kenneth Barrett for Sheriff

For the past 27 years, I’ve proudly served our community with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office. I began my career at age 20 as a detention officer and worked my way up, gaining experience in patrol, narcotics, and interstate crime operations. Keeping our community safe has always been my top priority.

I’ve led crime suppression efforts, specialized units including K9 operations, helping strengthen both safety and community connection. I also mentor deputies and have managed budgets to keep vital programs running strong.

I have a proven track record of providing fair consistent leadership that is transparent within the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office and among the community I serve.
